Celebrating Halloween in Wilmington

It’s that time of year – ghosts are haunting our historical sites, trick-or-treaters are out in full force, and our beautiful homes are decorated to the nines. Happy Halloween season from the Michelle Clark Team!

If you’re new to the area, or just want to get out and experience something new for the holiday, our area is teeming with fun seasonal events for all ages.

Your local experts have put together a list for you to check out before you head out, but you’re more than welcome to contact us for more regional information at any time. We’re here to help, whether you’ve recently bought a home through us or not.

Halloween Fest

Make your way to Maides Park with the kids on Friday, October 25, from 5:30 until 8:30pm for Wilmington’s Halloween Fest! Festivities include family-friendly games and activities like bouncy houses, music, and of course, trick-or-treating! Treats will be available on-site, too, so you won’t have to fill up on candy. And it isn’t just the kids who get to dress up – parents are encouraged to come in costume, too!

Trick-or-Treat Under the Sea

Explore the mysterious depths below with the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher during its annual Trick-or-Treat Under the Sea event October 26, from 4:30 until 8pm. Diving skeletons seeking sunken treasure (and jack-o-lanterns), live animal encounters, and even a dinosaur or two to liven up the party! Take the kids to a magic show while you’re there, and we definitely recommend scoping out the candy and treats.

10th Annual Zombie Fest

Feeling brave? Satellite Bar & Lounge is waking the dead with its 10th Annual Zombie Fest on October 26, from 6pm until midnight. Show up with your fellow walkers for movies, live music, and a costume contest designed to amp up your fright night. And you’re welcome to join in the Zombie Dance Cage – just enter at your own risk!

Maze Craze

If you want to get away from the city, Galloway Farm is hosting its annual Maze Craze October 25-27! You won’t to miss the chance to prove your navigational chops in the spooky story maze, or win in the corn scavenger hunt. And, there are plenty of other activities for every member of your family to enjoy, including hay and barrel train rides, duck races, and all sorts of tasty concessions.
